Week 3

This week I learned in Marcion's life on how determined and persevered he was. It was because he was excommunicated by the church and yet he continued to share the gospel even it was in his on view. The determination that he had strikes me because even though he knew the danger and consequences he might face yet he still continue to share the things he believed he must tell to the people. Another lesson that I learned was about the council of creeds. I learned how they handle the errors and I learned that because of their mistakes, the correct thought came out.

I remember when one of our young people in our church was excommunicated. It was because of the wrong thing that he had committed. In spite of the discourages in his life, I was updated that he was one of the officer or leader of the different church. He continued to serve God. It was also that I had done displeasing action towards our other young people because I told our pastor about what they had done. For me, it was the right thing that I did because I want to help them top stop the things that they want to do but it was not a right performance before God. Even though I was not like Marcion that had excommunicated in the church. In my case I was excommunicated on their circle of friends. Even they had done that I believe that it was the right thing to do. It was also when I was in high school that we had corrected by the leaders or deacons in the church because we always went home early. It was talked by the board members. They made a rule that we must be or stay at church only until 9 o'clock in the evening.

First thing that I will do to apply these learnings is to be firm of what I know is right. Even though the people that had performed wrong action were my friends, I must correct them gently, even I know the consequences that I will encounter. Another thing that I will do is to obey and submit to the authority. It is because they know more compared to me and they just want ot protect us from any harm of the surroundings. I knew that they had got those rules for us also to minister to our families at home and to also spend time with them.
